DALYAN

The ancient city of Caunos on the way back to Dalyan town center is a place to see the Ancient Theatre, the Roman Bath, the Temple of Apollon, and the Acropolis up the hill. Also the Carian Rock Tombs which welcomes you as you enter the town, are really amazing. Dalyan and Caunos are on the southwestern coast of Turkey. They are set in the center of an un-spoilt broad delta. The area is environmentally protected. This is one of the few surviving places of paradise, an area of natural beauty and historical interest.

Dalyan has many therapeutic hot springs. The waters which contain radioactive elements and sulphur are believed to cure rheumatism, skin, liver, spleen and bowel complaints, as well as being beneficial for nervous and digestive disorders. The mud baths are also said to remedy rheumatism as well as cleanse and beautify skin. Once you have covered yourself in the mud, than you wait for a few minutes for it to dry.
